Job Description

Location: Zurich, Switzerland / Berlin, Germany or Remote

Simpley (simpley dot ai) is an AI-based all-in-one website and marketing SAAS solution for hotels under 50 rooms. It creates and fills a new website with one click, centralizes their IT and marketing, converts more direct bookings, and saves time and cost. Our vision is to save hoteliers precious time and to take care of the things they hate - Marketing and IT - while giving them back money and time to invest in the things they love: their family and work.

After raising 1 M in government grants, we have gone to market with our MVP. We are looking for a marketing & sales co-founder who based on their experience and network in the hospitality industry, can attract and close hotels with less than 50 rooms in the DACH region. Are you passionate about new ways to disrupt hospitality platforms with AI? Do you want to play a key role in an extremely ambitious journey in a technology-backed hospitality SaaS startup?

Your role will be to acquire customers, do interviews to improve the product and grow the sales and marketing organization.

This is a unique opportunity to scale a bootstrapped startup with market-edge technology. The Simpley team has solid experience developing digital products for start-ups and industry leaders. You will be backed by an incredible team consisting of 2 software developers a product owner and the CEO, to help you succeed.

We are pre-revenue, so what we can offer at this time is a performance-based salary with a generous equity package.

Simpley is a spin-off of the venture builder B-works. Our Vision is to create digital solutions for a sustainable, CO2-neutral future.

Desired Results

  • Acquire 50 paying SaaS hotel customers by month 3 (KPI: Number of paying hotel customers)
  • Acquire 100 paying SaaS hotel customers by month 6 (KPI: Number of paying hotel customers)
  • Acquire 300 paying SaaS hotel customers by month 12 (KPI: Number of paying hotel customers)
  • Achieve and maintain a customer acquisition cost (CAC) of 300
  • Achieve and maintain a customer churn rate of under 5% annually
  • Achieve and maintain a Net Promoter Score over 50

Tasks

Key Responsibilities

  • Run daily operations, marketing and sales
  • Balance branding and growth
  • Sell to hotels directly, then grow the sales and marketing organization with growing traction
  • Develop a go-to-market strategy and implement all measures needed to grow, including online, offline, customer service and partnerships
  • You understand to combine the disciplines of branding, growth, and product development into a coherent strategy
  • Onboard new hotels
  • Interview customers to discover the potential for improving the product
  • Collaborate with the product development team to give input on the product roadmap
  • Prepare and hold presentations for investors, key partners, and the board

Requirements

Skills, Traits & Competencies

  • Self-starter who gets the job done
  • Experience and proven track record selling and marketing SaaS to Hotels or comparable experience
  • Strong network of Hotels in the DACH region
  • Comfortable formulating international growth strategies and managing budgets
  • Experience leading and growing a sales and marketing team and driving growth
  • You know how to create marketing and promo material needed to make the sale
  • Ability to research the market and identify features that consumers want in our product
  • Experience in growing sales in different markets is a big plus
  • Experience in presenting plans to new investors and board members
  • Excellent written and verbal German and English skills, any additional language is a plus
  • Valid work permit for Switzerland or Germany
