An opportunity has arisen for a Workplace Technician to join Arms Workplace Experience team at our Cambridge Office.
Responsibilities:- Reporting to the Workplace Technical Operations Lead- Play a role as part of the Cambridge Workplace Team to ensure that our buildings are working in a safe, efficient, and effective way- Work with the team to enable people get the workplace set-up they need: desk set up, ergonomics etc- Co-ordinating internal team/desk moves and setting up desks for new starters- Communicate with our user base in person and via internal social media channels- Assist with meeting room set up, event set up, room moves and ad hoc requests- Complete People Hub tickets in a timely way- Undertake small works projects to ensure that our office environment is fit for purpose- Find opportunities for improvements in either our estate or our documentation and ways of working- Day to day support for the support contract services including the gym, on site restaurants, and the shared services hub.- Reviewing and reporting for internal use and compliance needs: heating, ventilation, water, carbon data, energy management information as required.- Become a technical subject matter expert in a number of our building systems sharing insight and knowledge with others as necessary, and ensuring processes and settings are documented and understood- Support site furniture inventory and critical spares- Provide cover and support to UK sites outside Cambridge, as and when neededRequired Skills and Experience:- Confident with technology, skilled in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint- Willing to move furniture, equipment, supplies, etc around campus as required- Confident influencer who can engage with team members at all levels of the business.- Flexible, willing to adapt to changing responsibilities and assignments.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must.- Strong time management and communication skills.- Experience in dealing with space management and office relocation- A good knowledge of health and safety- Knowledge/Experience of using CAD would be an assetNice To Have Skills and Experience:- Understanding of risk assessments and PPM schedules- Basic carpentry skills- Painting and decorating- Knowledge of Building management systemsIn Return:This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established team in a strong collaborative environment.
