Job Description

Associate Sales & Account Executive Support Coordinator
Spokane, Washington

Primary Job Purpose

The Associate Sales & Account Executive Support Coordinator represents Asuris by assisting our sales Associates and Account Executives with all lines of business including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and Disability etc. Responsible for supporting the team when acquiring new group business for assigned territory. Responsible for supporting account management for assigned groups. Assisting our sales teams with retaining group business for assigned territory and working in a team environment. This roles has a base + incentives.
General Functions and Outcomes

Responsible for supporting our sales teams with new small group business and retaining profitable group business.

Supports and nurtures relationships with broker/agent and group decision maker to facilitate lifetime relationships with members.

Effectively works within team environment. Works with cross functional teams(ie underwriting, customer service, claims, etc.)

Monitors business/industry conditions, customer developments and competitive activities. Works with Group Managers to reflect changing market conditions in the sales and account management approach.

Develops and follows customer service plan to meet established standards.

Serve as an ambassador for Asuris in any and all circumstances.

May participate in open enrollment and education forums.

Manages relationships with broker/agent and group decision maker.

May require participation in an industry organization.

Provides general administrative support to the leadership team.
Minimum Requirements

Demonstrates proficiency in desktop application software including email, word processing, spreadsheets and creating presentations.

Demonstrates fully proficient verbal/written presentation skills.

Ability to organize and prioritize to meet established deadlines

Ability to plan and execute an effective sales and account management approach.

Demonstrates relationship skills

Ability to engage in community/ networking opportunities outside of normal business hours.

Demonstrates a consistent focus on achieving or surpassing results/goals.

Displays an enthusiastic, fully committed, and self-directed approach to work.

Represent Asuris in a positive professional manner in the marketplace

Ability to establish and maintain a key account prospect list for cross selling opportunities and sales pipeline


Normally to be proficient in the competencies listed above


The Associate Sales & Account Executive would have a Bachelors degree in marketing, business, or related field and one year direct customer service contact or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Licenses, Certifications, Registration, Etc.

Must be currently licensed, or must become licensed within 90 days of hire, to sell insurance (health, life, and /or disability) in the state or states where business is conducted. Prior to receiving a license staff are not allowed to engage in soliciting or selling activities. Must have a valid state drivers license with a good driving record and proof of auto insurance.

Hybrid of remote and in office work.
