Regional brokerage / insurance agency looking for an experienced Commercial Assistant Manager / Account Management Leader/ Supervisor.They provide a full range of insurance coverage and benefits programs offered by more than 30 national carriers.
This is a fully and permanently remote position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Represent insurance agency in a courteous and professional manner and provide prompt, efficient and accurate service to clients.
- Checking of all new insurance policies for accuracy
- Invoicing of all new business
- Obtain all necessary information from prospective clients in order to have a proper submission sent to the insurance carriers for quotations
- Complete Acord & supplemental applications for all new business prospects
- Market all new prospects to the appropriate insurance carriers to obtain the most favorable quotes while at the same time providing the best coverage
- Input of all documentation into the agency management system
- Run quarterly expiration reports and distribute to staff
- Review with producers all upcoming expirations to determine a plan of action.
- Assist clients with questions, problems and/or complaints.
- Interaction with underwriters and underwriting managers of the insurance carriers
- Interaction with marketing representatives of the insurance carriers
- Assist with development of marketing brochures and lists in an effort to obtain new business
- Run reports from agency management system weekly to check for accuracy of inputted data
- Prepare weekly pending cancellation lists and distribute to staff
- Have periodic meetings with commercial lines staff
- Annual evaluations of commercial lines staff
- Perform a variety of miscellaneous tasks
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent business experience required
- 7+ years of Commercial Insurance Account Management / Supervision experience
- Familiarity with Applied Epic software strongly preferred
- New York State Property and Casualty Insurance License required
- Current or recent independent insurance agency / brokerage experience
- Must be experienced in the Metropolitan New York City / Long Island property and casualty insurance market
- Experienced in property and casualty insurance quality control procedures
- Experienced in quoting and insurance carrier rating systems
- Must be able to demonstrate strong leadership, team orientated and people skills
- Must have a strong phone presence
