2nd Shift Flexo Press Operators--Tampa, FL
Seeking a full-time 2nd shift Flexographic Press Operator to join our growing team. A label manufacturer in Tampa, FL, provides over 180,000 customers with a wide array of labeling solutions. Our product lines include stock labels, custom printed labels, and shrink sleeves.
The Flexographic Press Operator's responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Set up and run a narrow web flexographic press
Mix ink to achieve the color combinations requested by customer
Mount and register Flexo printing plates, print cylinders, & dies
Read and follow job orders to ensure the job is produced correctly
Run and maintain an inline turret rewinder
Assists in ensuring that production goals are met
Maintain production activity in CERM Shop-floor MIS application
Inspect work product for quality defects
Troubleshoot and maintain press
Eventually, train team members on use of press as well as workflow processes
Be a team player and keep a safe and clean working production environment
May be required to lift up to 70lbs and stand for long periods
Qualifications:
A successful candidate will have the following:
Proven experience in operating Mark Andy Scout 2200 and/or 830
Experience operating an ABG Digicon3 is a plus
Mechanical aptitude and ability to make basic machine repair
Must demonstrate good math skills
Must be able to speak fluent English
High school diploma or equivalent and be at least 18 years of age
Must have dependable transportation
Ability to work independently
Excellent communication and time management skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Self-motivated and strong work ethic
Attention to both quality and detail
Computer skills including email and Microsoft Office
Background and drug screening required
