NOTE: - Person should be eligible to opt NOAA Public Trust process,The candidate musthave the following qualifications:* 4 years using*Java*, *Python*, SQL, and other high level programming languages in aprimarily Linux/UNIX based environment Experiencedeveloping enhancements to existing applications and work on larger projectsinvolving the development of software Document softwareand assist with implementation and full software development lifecycle (SDLC* Experiencecreating Web Services, that have been used in production settings; withLinux/Unix, is preferable* Experiencedeveloping and maintaining applications and dissemination tools (i.e. APIs)using Java, Python, PL/SQL, CGI, Perl and relational databases Experiencedeveloping and maintaining websites with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap,leaflet, jQuery, Web services* Experience inMobile Application Development is a plus* Experience inproviding real-time or other application support is preferred* Experience intesting web applications in multi-platform, cross-browser development is a plus* Experience in WebService technologies such as SOAP/WSDL and REST developing RESTful APIs fordata retrieval and Web Applications* Experiencemanaging projects is a plus* Experienceperforming unit testing and integration testing to validation solutions* Experience withAWS or other cloud environments is a plus Experience withcontent management systems such as WordPress is a plus Experience withweb development using HTML, CSS and JavaScript is required Experienceworking with Linux/Unix, PHP, Perl, Subversion, NetBeans or Eclipse* Knowledge ofSystem Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology* Maintain existingdata processing applications, including APIs, websites, and dissemination tools* Must be able tomeet assigned development goals with a high quality of output and meet targetdelivery dates Proficient in theuse of browser Developer Tools for troubleshooting* Strongunderstanding and experience of object-oriented design using common designpatterns* Support real-timeoperations, for example, by monitoring performance of applications, workingwith administrators and others, etc* Work bothindependently and within a team and proactively address issues or implementenhancements Be able toexplain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions ofthe job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combinationof knowledge, skills, and abilities:* Ability tocommunicate clearly and effectively;* Work in aprocess-oriented and deadline-driven environment, and be capable to workindependently* Ability to workindependently and as part of a team.Bachelors Degree incomputer science, physical sciences, mathematics, engineering or relateddiscipline, or equivalent; preferred.
