As a
Grocery Retail Field Merchandiser (Bilingual),
you will provide guidance and direction for store merchandising, planogram compliance, point-of-purchase, and shelf management services in retail stores to encourage and produce retail sales across multiple markets, paying special attention to fresh and prepared foods.
Duties you will fulfill:
Work with store team on merchandising by establishing displays of company or featured products
Provide feedback to category managers, inventory analyst and store team on opportunities for product transfer and/or markdowns
Provide feedback to Merchandising and Product team regarding space management, new item launches, planogram resets regarding needed changes and/or adjustments
Make regular observations on competitors' products, pricing and merchandising
Maintain quality results by following and enforcing safe food handling practices, product rotation, and temperature standards
Train and educate employees on new products and best practices for product display and rotation, backroom organization and overstock procedures
Support the stores as needed with special promotions by setting-up end cap displays; observing and collecting feedback of customer reaction to special promotions
Support store resets, remodels and new store product merchandising set up by ensuring final set configuration optimizes store merchandising space along with directing activity of project to ensure sequence of events is executed in meeting project objectives
Give feedback to the Director, Field Merchandising on store conditions, facility conditions, scheduling, shrink risk, product overstock, product outs, and freshness
Maintain customer relationships by visiting with store managers and employees; answering their questions; responding to special requests; describing product features

3+ years hands-on retail grocery experience
including
1+ years of experience in a leadership role in retail grocery (e.g. Produce, Deli/Bakery, or Meat/Seafood manager)
Travel Requirements:
Ability to
travel daily within assigned territory (Houston), overnights
will be
required for store resets
and
new store openings outside
the
assigned territory.
Occasional weekends
and
evenings
(
required
).
Bilingual (English & Spanish)

You must be
18 years of age
or older
High School Diploma or equivalent (
required
)
Successfully
