Ensures compensation models and contracts are developed and administered in compliance with all applicable company policies and government regulations, serving as the primary liaison for compensation-related issues.
Responsibilities
- Provides leadership, perspective and recommendations for the development and implementation of innovative, market-competitive physician and APC compensation methodologies aligned with the strategic plan of the organization.
- Responsible for supervising staff to ensure the integrity of compensation related data.
- Develops and implements processes to support, and has oversight of, the intake process for identified or requested compensation related changes and puts forth recommendations to appropriate governance committee or council.
- Supports the timely and accurate processing, auditing and analysis of provider compensation in coordination with finance, data and analytics, coding, and other departments.
- Maintains knowledge of potential and real changes in the regulatory environment that may impact the integrity of the physician compensation program.
- Supports functional departments in developing an effective reporting methodology to ensure physicians and providers receive timeline compensation reports.
- Supports the development of policies and procedures to maintain compliance with fair market physician compensation methodologies, laws and regulations as well as company policies and procedures
- Collaborates with legal to ensure processes are in place that ensure all physicians receiving compensation have current and compliant contracts in place. Informs processes to maintain physician contracts in Compliance 360.
- Utilizes analytical, presentation, and facilitation skills to engage with leaders and providers to review, develop, and plan for implementation compensation plans.
- Provides staff support for boards, councils and committees
- Develops and maintains departmental budget and informs provider compensation operating budget, in partnership with operational and functional leaders
- Leads, develops, and mentors staff; responsible for hiring, training, and conducting performance evaluations, corrective actions, and terminations.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelors Degree in healthcare administration, finance, accounting, business or other healthcare or business related field
- Experience: 10 years of experience
