Admissions Office Part-Time Secretary Vincennes, IN
Vincennes Universitys Office of Admissions is looking for an outstanding individual with both organizational and interpersonal skills to serve as a part-time secretary.
The ideal candidate will function as a member of the Admissions department and work comfortably in a team structure. The successful candidates primary responsibilities include, but not limited to the following: providing exceptional customer service to guests, main point of contact for all in-bound calls, work closely with other secretary on record keeping, and provide administrative support to the admissions staff as well as the Director of Admissions. Preference will be given to individuals with administrative experience.
Required Skills/attributes:
High school diploma or GED
Proficiency with Microsoft Office software and electronic office equipment
Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
Ability to juggle multiple tasks and responsibilities at once
Basic math and problem-solving skills
Understanding of higher education information systems
Availability to work flexible schedule depending on office needs. Max of 30 hours per week.
Valid drivers license
Preferred Skills:
Administrative experience
Experience with Slate CRM and Banner
Essential duties & responsibilities:
Answer phones, emails, and direct questions/needs appropriately
Prepare and maintain admission documents
Check-in/assist daily campus visitors
Track usage of admissions equipment
Maintain historical records
Participate in on-campus recruitment events
Other related duties as assigned
