Job Description
- Conduct thorough assessments of students speech language and communication abilities.
- Provide targeted therapy either individually or in small groups to address specific communication goals.
- Develop personalized treatment plans for a range of speech and language disorders such as articulation fluency voice and comprehension issues.
- Actively participate in IEP meetings collaborating with the team to set meaningful goals and design appropriate interventions for each student.
- Work closely with teachers parents and other educational staff to seamlessly integrate speech and language strategies into students daily routines and academic plans.
- Maintain accurate and uptodate records of assessments therapy sessions progress reports and other essential documentation to ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines.
Requirements
- Must hold ASHA certification.
- Eligible for or already hold an SLP license in Illinois.
- A Masters Degree in Speech Pathology or a related field is required.
