Job Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Azure Cloud Engineer to join our team on immediate basis. You will be responsible for the efficient functioning of all cloud-based systems. You should be able to plan, develop, and put in place optimal cloud solutions and infrastructure. Besides, you should be able to resolve any issues and debug the cloud stack.

You should be able to evaluate cloud architecture and strategies in collaboration with the CTO. To achieve success in your career as a Cloud Engineer, you should ensure smooth performance and scalability of the web application. Apart from that, you should also be able to review and suggest any improvement measures.

You should have a strong technical expertise to provide cloud services matching the clients requirements. As a team player and go-getter, you should supervise/motivate your team members and offer technical support when needed.

Responsibilities

As an Azure Cloud Engineer, you will be working with the Developers, Architects and customer engineering teams to

• Engineer complex Azure cloud infrastructures for both customer and internal environments.
• Support our Azure environment to resolve critical and complex technical issues in a 24x7x365 support model, leveraging your deep technical and product expertise along with your understanding of our customer s needs.
• Demonstrate critical thinking, strong communication skills and the ability to develop strategic ongoing customer relationships. The close relationships developed with our customers will empower you to understand their business/operational needs and technical challenges and help them achieve the greatest value from Azure.
• Deeply engage with our customers to understand their architecture and operations, and work to continuously improve their overall Azure support experience.
• Operational Excellence: Work with leadership on process improvement, operational efficiency, and strategic initiatives.
• Install and configure Virtual machines, storage account, virtual network, Azure load balancer in the Azure cloud.
• Re-structure active directory OU, security group and configure group policy.
• Manage network architecture diagram and present to management and client.
• Perform System and network hardening, Vulnerability assessment and remediation, apply best practices for computer and network security.
• Hands-On working knowledge of Azure Monitoring and its techniques.
• Hands-On working knowledge of building/maintaining infrastructure-as-code.
• Automate deployment of VM, storage, virtual network, virtual machine scale set using PowerShell and ARM templates.
• Good troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication skills.
• Should be a good team player and Mentor and guide team members.
• Collaborating with the Engineering team to improve the efficiency of existing systems

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Cloud Engineer or in designing cloud-based solutions on Azure / AWS
• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
• Knowledge of best practices and software security in IT operations.
• Proficiency with SCRUM Agile methodologies.
• Good sense of prioritization and time management
• Ability to make effective independent decisions
• Certification in Microsoft Azure is desirable
• Passion for customers and focus on delivering the right customer experience.
• Ability to learn new technology in a fast-paced environment. Ability to deal with ambiguity.
• Deep Understanding of cloud computing technologies across Windows and Linux, with demonstrated hands-on experience on one or more of the following domains:
• Azure Core Platform:Compute, Storage, Networking required
• AKS or Kubernetes engineering highly desired
• Data Platform:SQL Server, Azure SQL DB, Azure Data Factory
