Our Omaha, Nebraska manufacturing client is looking to hire a Welder. The Welder will be responsible for layouts, fits, and welds fabricated, cast, and forged components to assemble structural forms such as frames, stands, reels, and shafts.
Key Qualifications & Requirements:
Selects equipment and plans layout, assembly, and welding.
Lays out, positions, aligns, and fits components together.
Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding. Sets up equipment and welds parts, using MIG/TIG/Torch welding equipment.
Assembles parts by bolting and riveting.
Uses acetylene/plasma arc equipment to cut metal parts to print specifications.
Repairs products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts.
Responsible for reading blueprints, carrying out welding requirements, and ensuring product quality. Required to perform duties following work order process sheets.
Responsible for checking the accuracy of engineering, sales, and manufacturing offices' input to ensure customer final product is correct and within quality acceptance guidelines. Any changes or corrections must be communicated to appropriate departments so future product output is consistent with customer expectations.
