Job Description

We're looking for a self motivated, results driven Production Supervisor to lead the production team to achieve the operational goals defined by the company. You will have the opportunity to apply your experience to take the production team to the next level turning them into a high performance team that is sensitive to abnormalities and embrace continual improvement to overcome difficulties, challenges and struggle in the production floor!

Your Responsibilities:
Driving a positive safety culture with the belief that all injuries can be prevented
Coaching and mentoring all direct reports for development and succession planning
Develop and maintain reporting mechanism needed to monitor production rates, yields, and quality, cost variances.
Identify areas for improvement in process, equipment, and training, ensure Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) are followed
Utilize effective troubleshooting skills and root cause analysis to monitor, assess and resolve production issues with staff and equipment.
Supervise, coach, develop and evaluate performance of production personnel with a goal of cross training staff, ensuring that cGMP procedures and practices are maintained and followed.
Determine amount of necessary resources (workforce, raw materials etc.)
Lead, practice and sustain Lean initiatives and 6S procedures including Kaizen meetings.
Ensure that Standard Operating Principles (SOPs) are being followed for each process.
Provide immediate support when a flow in the process is down.
Execute performance evaluation with each employee at least one time per year.
Communicate concerns and issues at shift changes with peers as needed.
You Must Have:
Minimum of two years progressive experience in the role(s) you are Supervising.
Previous degree or supervisory experience in a LEAN manufacturing environment preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication and facilitation skills.
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks with little supervision.
Strong Interpersonal skills and the ability to lead a team.
Excellent problem solver. Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully.
Must be able to think independently, be assertive and exercise good judgment.
Proficiency with MS Office: Word, Excel & Outlook.
Able to learn new computer programs and complex procedures in a highly customized, dynamic, multi-tasking work environment.
