Senior Hardware Engineer

This role will be responsible for device integration as a system. The main tasks will center on HW, FW, with minor mechanical and SW integration with aid from other departments. The position will be based in Irvine, CA.

Responsibilities:

• Translate product requirements and strategy into engineering specifications.
• Span research, development and pilot production to lead aspects of device engineering from prototype to mass production.
• Work closely with the team in enabling biosensing features, including both chemical sensors and physical sensors
• Manage the architecture for device design history files and device master records with the ability to understand design controls thoroughly.
• Lead device design changes, working with consulting partners, vendors, and contract manufacturers
• Collaborates closely with the software development team, as well as circuit designers to ensure hardware/software development solutions are compatible.

Who you are:

• BS/MS/PhD in electrical engineering or biomedical engineering
• Complete understanding and wide application of technical principle, theories, and concepts in Hardware Engineering
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, simulate and resolve issues in embedded system designs.
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with overseeing execution in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and management skills
• Has technical experience with biosensors (chemical sensors and physical sensors)
