Preferred Qualifications: An Associates degree in electronics, biomedical engineering, or equivalent technical field, or completion of advanced service schools pertaining to the specific equipment requiring support as evident by program certificates.
Six or more years hand's on experience performing direct component level repair (with a minimum of outside support) and maintenance on both general and model specific equipment in the Medical Imaging field. (includes general radiographic; fluoroscopic; ultrasound; and other systems specific to Radiology, Cardiac Catheterization, Nuclear Medicine or Ultrasound).
Demonstrated knowledge of state-of-the-art electronic and test equipment; quality assurance procedures; preventive maintenance procedures; Advanced troubleshooting techniques, generally to the component level, and use of diagnostic service software applications on general as well as specialty clinical equipment. Ability to communicate and function independently in a customer focused service environment and to use computer software based work order tracking systems as a means to fully document repair and maintenance services performed. Ability and willingness to travel to remote hospital sites and to periodically conform to a flexible work schedule on an as-needed basis. Ability and willingness to respond to after hour service requests as needed. AAMI- Certified Radiology Equipment Specialist (CRES) Certificate.
