Job Description

*Requirements: Certified Millwright or Tool & Die Maker or Certified Engineering Technician/Technologist is preferred.

10+ years of experience in custom machine building field. Experience in high speed manufacturing environment is an asset. Demonstrated experience in building equipment utilizing various technologies including robotic systems, high speed index transfer, pneumatic actuators, servo motors and actuators.

Familiarity with modern electrical controls technologies as they apply to automated equipment (eg PLCs, HMIs, safety devices and instrumentation). Read and interpret Autocad 2D and Solidworks 3D drawings and understand tolerances and critical dimensions. Strong working knowledge of machine shop practices. Ability to weld common metals (MIG/TIG) encountered in machine building is an asset. CNC milling, sink or wire EDM experience would be an asset.

*Responsibilities: Assemble, debug, modify and install machinery according to mechanical design. Start-up and commissioning of machine lines and systems. Responsible for the integration of purchased mechanical and pneumatic components, manufactured details and sub-assemblies to construct automated machinery for custom applications. Perform critical precision alignments and set-ups of mechanical components and systems and take measures to ensure integrity of set-up.
