Job Description


EHS Manager
Philadelphia, PA
$70,00-90,000 + Bonus + Full Benefits
M-F 8am-4:45pm EST.


Under the direction of the Corporate Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager, the EHS Site Manager will lead development and implementation of EHS policies and programs, carry out training, and ensure audits and inspections are completed in accordance with company policies and state and federal safety and health standards. The EHS Site Manager must be able to anticipate and respond to hazards, promote employee health, safety, and environmental compliance, and build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external team members. Duties and responsibilities



  • Facilitate monthly site safety meetings.

  • Create and deliver training in various topics.

  • Lead facility inspections to detect existing and potential hazards.

  • Facilitate the determination of corrective or preventative measures along with the assignment of responsibility and follow up to ensure the corrective measures have been implemented.

  • Ensures that training records, health/safety manuals or handbooks, incident/accident reports, or other documentation are appropriately maintained, updated, and in compliance.

  • Responsible for submitting OSHA Logs.

  • Support corporate policy and program development.

  • Purchases and distributes personal protection equipment and supplies.

  • Monitors and keeps in compliance all known health, safety, or environmental hazards, such as noise, air, or wastewater pollution levels in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines

  • Monitors and coordinates energy usage, efficiencies, and other data related to established environmental and sustainability-related metrics.

  • Coordinates the inspection of facilities, vehicles, and equipment.

  • Maintains appropriate certifications including, but not limited to: First Aid, OSHA 30 Hour, 40-hour HAZWOPER.

  • Maintain Emergency Preparedness Plans for medical, fire and natural disaster and keep plant trained on these plans.

  • Supports the company in Workers Compensation strategies and matters.

  • Help maintain a proactive fitness-for-duty process with local Occupational Medical clinics.

  • Remain current on federal, state, county and local safety regulations and

  • Page 2keep management advised of new or revised regulations.
  • Travel may be required to fulfill job duties.




  • Completes special projects and other duties as assigned.


Education and ExperienceExperience: 3 or more years EHS-related experience in a manufacturingenvironment.
Education:



  • High School Diploma or equivalent, Bachelors or Associates Degree in

  • EHS, Sustainability, or equivalent.

  • Preferred Experience: Understanding of OSHA General Industry requirements,

  • Experience delivering training, in OSHA onsite audits, and reporting to regulatory agencies.



Ideal Candidate



  • Minimum 3 years' experience

  • Minimum Associates Degree - Business/Math or Chemistry/Biology

  • Able to solve problems well

  • Is personable

  • Has critical thinking skills

  • Has conducted training before to train on EHS items



  • Ability to learn/advance in skillsets

  • Shows initiative
