The future of work remains uncertain, and we find this exciting.

New technologies are influencing work in many ways. We are talking about technologies creating more diverse and inclusive work environments. And people working in less traditional and tedious jobs.

The workplace is being reimagined. For some companies, the workspaces become physical destinations that add value to their employee s work. Others define the workplace as a phygital (physical+digital) environment to stimulate collaboration, creation and performance.

The definition of workforce is a broader concept. The workforce can no longer be understood as the traditional employee/employer relationship. We are talking about people working fully remote or in hybrid models (partially working from home). They can also be individuals working in part-time, contract or freelance positions.

Considering these changing models and those to come, we want to contribute to building the nexgeneration workforce.

Tasks

As part of our activity to develop the nexgeneration workforce, nexgen careers hosts between 300 and 400 students from across the EU and the UK within the framework of Erasmus+ and Turing mobility programs every year. We are aiming to work with a professional that will coordinate with our operations and learning teams to execute and facilitate a learning spaces for Vocational Education students.

Our programs do have 3 main elements 1) Career Design based on our framework EX3 (Examine, Explore, Experience) 2) Work-based Learning project for students to develop their experience 3) Entry-level entrepreneurial program with the aim to develop entrepreneurial skills.

We are looking for a professional to work with our team in developing the following areas;

  • Facilitation of learning spaces for groups of international students aged 16 to 24
  • Establish employer relationships to develop Work Based Learning project for the mobility programs. Identify organisations and define student projects with them
  • Create and Define Work-Based-Learning projects in coordination with the learning team
  • Co-creation of learning itineraries alongside the learning and student mobility teams
  • Coordinating learning outings in collaboration with the student mobility team
  • Project coordination in collaboration with the student mobility team
  • Content creation in coordination with the communication team

Skills we would like the ideal candidate to be able to prove:

Technical Skills:

  • Eye for design and knowledge of basic design software such as canva and google slides
  • Understand how to communicate clearly and effectively in writing
  • Understanding of basic project-based working styles
  • You can facilitate learning spaces, such as workshops, team learning, one on one learning etc.

Human Skills:

  • Active learner and problem solver
  • You take ownership of your work and have attention to detail
  • High level of social and emotional intelligence
  • Good communicator and comfortable with public speaking
  • Humble and a team player
  • You are organised and can prioritise your tasks efficiently

Note: Most of our programs are delivered in the Barcelona metropolitan area, however, you might be requested to travel within Spain to deliver some programs.

What to expect from the recruiting process;

  • There will be a first filter where you will receive an email letting you know whether you ve been qualified for an interview or that we did find that we are not a great match for you. We are aiming to qualify a low number of candidates for an interview.
  • Following your qualification, we will share a link for you to book a video call with, Cecilia and Andreu.
  • If we see values, objectives, and drive match and we both are happy with the process we will invite you to a second and final interview where you will get to meet other core team members. This call will help you have a more clear view of the company, the working style, and expectations.
