Legal Operations Manager / Legal Counsel (gn)

Your mission

As Legal (Operations) Manager or Legal Counsel you will support the legal department and VP Legal & Compliance of the Wandelbots Group with various legal matters such as general, commercial, distribution and IP/IT/data protection law and compliance topics. You will be involved into a variety of legal challenges in an innovative fast-growing tech environment. In this role, you will need excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, versatility and composure and a sound legal judgement.

Your responsibilities:

• You advise Wandelbots employees in the various business units on legally relevant matters as part of a legal team with focus on the areas of general, commercial, distribution and IP/IT/data protection law
• You implement, manage and advise on internal processes, guidelines and compliance topics within the Wandelbots group
• You review contracts and draft contracts, you negotiate contracts with external stakeholders
• You monitor and update general terms and conditions, internal guidelines and product terms and conditions
• You identify relevant legal and regulatory changes and support implementing these into existing business processes
• You conduct employee training on legally relevant topics
• You have the opportunity to grow with a growing legal department led by an experienced VP Legal & Compliance

Your profile

• You are a fully qualified German lawyer with first and second state exam or hold an equivalent business law degree (Business Law, LL.B. or Master)
• You have several years of experience from working in a law firm or legal department in the areas of contract, IT/IP/data protection and commercial law. Experience in a startup or Tech environment is a plus.
• You have profound knowledge of contract law, commercial and IT/IP/data protection law. In addition, you have already had contact with tech product compliance, privacy compliance and export control topics - if not, you are open to getting involved with them.
• Knowledge of Compliance Management.
• You have a good understanding of business issues and contexts.
• Great communication, negotiating and presentation skills towards all levels.
• Experience in working on numerous projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• You are fluent in English and German.
• You are enthusiastic about interdisciplinary work, have a high motivation to perform and to actively participate and take responsibility for the work.
