About Kiron

Kiron Open Higher Education gGmbH is a non-profit organization founded in 2015 with the mission to enable access to high-quality education for refugees and underserved communities through digital solutions. Our team of Kironistas is international, agile and thinks out-of-the-box. We are education experts, techies, designers, project managers, communicators, grant writers, researchers, coffee-drinkers, innovators and dreamers, all united in our passion to democratise digital education.

In order to achieve our goal, we are looking for a dedicated and self-motivated new colleague who can create a strong narrative that clearly speaks to our multiple stakeholders (students, donors, and partners).

Tasks

As our Digital marketing manager

you will maintain Kiron s image and create content to support in fundraising, student recruitment, and partnerships, use your digital expertise to build awareness online and draw on analytics to improve our performance.

In this role, you will own

  • Social media posting and strategy
  • Paid ad implementation, monitoring, and optimization
  • Maintaining the branding of all comms materials
  • Content creation for blog, social media, and website
  • Implementing digital campaigns
  • Creating pitch decks and other branding materials

and will grow in the following areas:

  • Visual storytelling in the non-profit sector
  • Using new channels for digital marketing and online fundraising

You will work on projects like:

  • Student interviews
  • Annual reports
  • Student recruitment marketing campaigns
  • Individual giving

Internal stakeholders

  • Fundraising team
  • Programs team
  • Lebanon team
  • Jordan team
  • Management board

External stakeholders

  • Partners
  • Students
  • Donors
  • Agencies

Requirements

About you

To succeed and grow in this position, you will likely be:

  • Passionate about our mission to democratize access to education for refugees and disadvantaged communities worldwide
  • Passionate about generating a strong digital engagement and social impact
  • A meticulous, detail-oriented and accurate team player.
  • Creative, hands-on and open-minded to feedback
  • A self-starter, adaptive & resilient and with an entrepreneurial mind-set
  • A digital native, data-drive and on top of new online marketing trends, i.e. have the ability to pick the right metrics to track and analyze the success of our communications strategy

and will likely have:

  • A proven track record of translating brand identity into compelling narratives and creative digital (marketing) materials
  • Experience with social media channels
  • Experience in campaign management and common tools, such as Google Analytics or Google Ads
  • Experience with Canva and SM Scheduling tools
  • Experience in digital marketing
  • An interest in narrative building
  • Strong written communication skills in English (native level)

Ideally, you might also have:

  • Previous experience in video editing, CRM, and Webflow.
  • Knowledge of German, Arabic or other languages
  • Worked in the non-profit or social impact sector
  • Experience in SEO, A/B testing, tracking, conversion optimization

This is what you can expect

After your first month, you'll complete your onboarding process, learn the ins and outs of Kiron s current comms strategy and its limitations and an overview of the communications channels.

After three months, you will have established a good routine, proactively present new ideas, know key stakeholders, operations, and lead communication with co-workers and partners.

After six months, you will have established a streamlined workflow, operations, and communication with co-workers and partners, and will have taken complete ownership of the digital marketing strategy, including content creation and social media.

After one year, you will have a solid grasp of your role as a digital marketing manager, as well as a clear understanding of how you contribute to the overall success of the organization and process improvement.
