Project description:
In this role as a hardware engineer, you will be responsible for the development of digital assemblies with high integration (FPGAs, ASICs, DDR memory). The electronics developed in this process are used in next generation high-end measurement devices like oscilloscopes or signal generators.
Tasks:
- Understanding the requirements and concept of the hardware architecture
- Component selection, layer clarification, and circuit entry
- Simulation and preliminary investigation of critical structures
- Collaboration on the layout design of the digital board as well as consultation with the manufacturing department
- Commissioning and debugging of the hardware
- Execution of tests for series release and extensive documentation
Skills:
- University or technical college degree in electrical engineering, information technology or communications technology
- Several years of professional experience in HW development, preferably with digital modules
- Good knowledge of digital circuit technology
- Good knowledge in digital board design with tools like Altium, Zuken, LTSpice or comparable
- Hands-on experience in scripting with Python
- Good knowledge of German and English
- Enthusiasm for technology and independent working style another plus
- Knowledge in FPGA or ASIC development
- Experience with other programming or scripting languages (e.g. C/C++, Perl, tcl)
