The position is for one of our clients, an international company specializing in bespoke student accommodations that provide leisure, safety, and well-being all under the same roof. A key player in the hospitality sector in the UK, our client has recently established themselves in Barcelona. As Financial Assistant, you will work closely together with the Finance Manager to ensure all financial operations and transactions are accounted for in an accurate and timely manner.
Tasks
- Assist in all tasks regarding financial transactions and bookkeeping of the company
- Review, analyze and process invoices and payments in both the sales and purchase ledger
- Process all payments in accordance with local tax regulations
- Liaise with external actors such as suppliers, controllers, bank, audit and customers
- Oversee and process petty cash management and credit card receipts
- Reconcile month-end statements
- Keep the internal ERP always up to date
- Support adhoc financial and administrative tasks
Requirements
- Previous work experience within finance and accounting
- Full professional level of both English and Spanish
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular of Excel.
- Proficiency in an ERP is a plus, in particular with Sage
- Proven ability to manage an extensive workload and cope well under pressure
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills
- Adaptability to handle varied tasks due to rapidly expanding business
