Our client is a subsidiary of a mulinational company of the electronics industry. With the goal of developing cutting-edge life science and industrial solutions to make the world safer and healthier, the EMEA headquarters is located in Hamburg.

Your reponsibilities
- Develop, design and implement the export control system within the framework of legal requirements and corresponding trainings for our operational areas as well as for the regional export control officers
- Perform risk analysis and evaluations to identify and mitigate risks at an early stage
- Continuously improve processes and implement them based on international export regulations, document all process changes in the quality management system
- Check and approve exports within the internal export control system based on legal export regulations (embargo, dual use, sanctions, US re-export law)
- Process export license applications and notifications in ELAN K2 (DE) and SNAP-R (US) and keep close contact with the authorities as well as with the Olympus companies in Japan and the USA
- Maintain export control relevant data in the IT systems SAP and Dakosy and document test results for traceability in foreign trade audits
Your qualification
- Commercial apprenticeship together with qualifications in the field of customs
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in import, export control and customs handling
- Experience in an internationally operating company is preferred
- Very good knowledge of EU customs, preference and excise law
- Knowledge of customs software (e.g. Dakosy and ATLAS)
- Confident handling of MS Office programs
- Possess strong self-reliance, initiative, and communication skills
- Fluent knowledge of English
