Technical Sales and Support Engineer (gn) United States based (Eastern / Midwest)

Your mission

• You will lead the implementation of our product for the customer, and are the main technical support contact for our products and applications - remotely, from the office and on-site.
• You will support sales partners and customers in demos, evaluating customer cases and developing technical solutions
• You will help identify competitors' solutions and products, test and evaluate them
• You will educate internal and external employees, customers, and partners and prepare documents for educating all stakeholders (such as, release notes, checklists, tutorials, technical documentation, FAQs).
• You will take customer requests and translate them into feature requests, and explain the use case to internal resources like product management, engineering, and QA
• You will help to define quality requirements of new features and will help to prioritize
• You work closely with your colleagues in Product Management, Sales, Business Development and Engineering in order to guarantee an excellent customer experience.
• You will foster customer relationships and discuss opportunities to upsell and cross-sell to our customers, working closely with your colleagues in Sales and Customer Success

Your profile

• You graduated with an engineering degree (e.g. electrical, mechanical, industrial or automation engineering) or, alternatively, you are a certified technician, or you have a comparable qualification.
• You have a good understanding of the manufacturing industry and the challenges they face
• You are eager and fast in understanding technical issues and have a creative, solution-oriented mindset
• You are good with people and are an effective communicator
• You are able to travel nationally as well as internationally. Expected travel about 50%
• You are fluent in written and spoken English, German is a plus

You have one of the following or similar professional experiences (3-5 years):

• You have programmed or commissioned collaborative and/or industrial robots (FANUC, YASKAWA, ABB, KUKA etc), including manufacturer-specific interfaces.
• OR You have experience with robotic applications and peripherals such as gluing, welding, sanding, etc. and/or experience in automation technology.
• OR You have professional industry experience in automation or industrial environments.
• OR You have already worked with industrial fieldbuses or industrial ethernet technologies such as Ethernet/IP, PROFINET or EtherCAT.
