Supply Chain Coordinator

As Supply Chain Coordinator, you proactively spot issues, find pragmatic solutions and help make our customers happy every day.

In a nutshell

As Supply Chain Coordinator, you proactively spot issues, find quick solutions and help keep our customers happy. You are the linking pin between many internal (distribution centers, fulfillment centers & hubs) and external stakeholders (suppliers & carriers). You need to convince these stakeholders that the solution you propose is the best. Picnic has a just-in- time supply chain, so strict service levels need to be agreed in order to deliver on our core promise: free delivery of a complete order, within the promised time window.

You run your own improvement projects, while you also have a constant eye on the daily operations. When challenges occur, you focus your energy where it matters. With later analysis, root causes are found and you prevent similar issues from happening again.

Logistics is what links suppliers to our warehouses, our warehouses to each other, and our warehouses to our hubs. Understanding the flow of goods, their volumes, sensitivity to timeliness and variability of these is required to make sure we can build the most efficient logistics network.

Picnic is an evolving company and we run in-house systems. You'll have the resources to implement projects and find innovative efficiencies in our supply chain. From improving the fill rate, reducing empty driving distance, to identifying short and long term improvements, you optimize Picnic s operation.

What you ll do

• Coordinate Picnic s supply chain, where you will focus on a specific product group or part of the logistics network;
• Maintain and monitor Picnic s logistical relationship with our suppliers and/or carriers;
• Manage and adjust the transport schedule, without the responsibility for day-to-day planning;
• Design, implement and run improvement projects;
• Improve the safe working conditions for Picnic employees as well as contracted truck drivers;
• You ll be working from our Head Office Amsterdam, with regular visits to our suppliers and our warehouses and hubs

About you

• Starter with a Master s degree
• 0-2 years experience within the supply chain field;
• Fluency in Dutch and English;
• Data drive: you want to verify every claim with solid data;
• Persistent and enthusiastic: you turn it s not possible into it s on the way ;
• Creative and pragmatic: you find original solutions for things that need to be fixed now;
• Responsible: you can work independently and you have a confident personality;
• Composed: the ability to work under pressure and meet daily deadlines;
• Talent for planning: you see things coming and have already planned for it;
• Commercial awareness: you know what customers want and when;
• Great communicator: you possess the capability to articulate problems and projects to all stakeholders.
