Job Description

At Gemma, we help our clients activate data by using state-of-the-art technology. Our clients make better decisions and are empowered to make use of their data on their own. We are service-focused, yet also build open-source tools to deliver a more effective and efficient service.

Our clients range from Series A ventures to SMEs with 30 to 13,000 employees per client. We have an honest, pleasant, and fun work environment. Please make reference calls with existing employees for validation :)

Tasks

As Founder Associate, you are the right hand of the founders and help us to scale the commercial side of our bootstrapped business from 15 people to 45 people in the next 3 years. You take full responsibility for daily operations in selected commercial areas, for example, Marketing, Branding, Business Development, or Sales, and drive the success of those functions. From day one, you bear responsibilities, both operationally and strategically. You will receive the support you need in an environment where you can thrive and develop.

Within 3 months, you

  • Own a market-side project that generates at least EUR 50k in revenue (e.g. partner management, development of a new consulting product)
  • Take over responsibility for at least one key market-side process and make sure that the success of that process is measured (e.g. sales pipeline)

After onboarding and long-term, you

  • Generate prospects outside of our existing network with the goal of generating 5 inbound prospects per month within your first 12 months
  • Are responsible to understand, measure, and improve our sales process in order to reduce cycle times and increase conversions
  • Facilitate an awesome handover and customer onboarding process between sales and the teams focusing on an exceptional customer experience that clients share in their business network
  • Develop a marketing plan that generates consistent and plannable revenue with stable CAC
  • Make sure that Gemma is visible where our clients are and develop ideas to engage with and sell to new clients (Examples: we have a conference schedule and a meetup schedule, and our talks have an NPS > 80)

Requirements

For this role, we are looking for entry-level people with high expectations toward themselves, intellectual curiosity, openness to learning, a structured mindset, and a curiosity for the commercial side of doing business.

Besides that we are looking for the following:

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a structured and independent approach to work
  • Communication with a high level of empathy and demonstrable curiosity
  • Driving projects forward proactively as shown in previous work experiences, which can also be during an internship or a working student roles
  • Ability to speak German fluently
  • Optional: Experience working in a fast-growing environment
