Software Manager - FFP & Comms

Tasks

• Excellent presentation, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills required
• High energy and motivated learner with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Expertise with communication & network technology is required.
• Experience with one or more factory floor protocols is required. Examples include: OPC-UA, Profinet, EtherNet/IP, CC-Link, Time Sensitive Networking/TSN, EtherCAT, etc.
• Up-to-date on latest industry trends; able to articulate trends and potential clearly and confidently
• Experience with real-time Linux based systems required.
• Create order from chaos
• Experience with Agile/SCRUM including capability of iterating on incremental functionality
• Experience designing and maintaining a CI / CD system with hardware-in-the loop

Requirements

• Manage the IOT strategy and technology development for Cognex products.
• Build and manage an engineering development team with the mission to deliver a common suite of communication technologies for Industry 4.0 for use in Cognex products.
• Manage external partners (software providers, certification vendors)
• Monitor emerging technologies and industry trends. Develop a technology roadmap with input from internal and external customers.
• Support strategic customers.
