Your Tasks:

IONOS is the biggest webhoster in Europe and is setting up the foundation to be The European Cloud Provider. This includes not just offering storage that can compete with the American hyper-scalers, but that offers the full infrastructure stack, including Big Data Services.IONOS is looking for an Technical Operations Engineer (m/w/d) to work in the Big Data Products Cloud Team in Karlsruhe.

This is a position for those interested in building the foundation of The European Cloud Provider. Our team is developing Cloud Big Data services.

We need you: A motivated and experienced Technical Engineer (f/m/d).

You will work together with a creative and innovative group of people that love experimenting and learning new things. We are an international team that breaks barriers and brings the European digital future ahead. You will be responsible for:

• Move forward the cloud-native services on a modern open source stack powered by Go and other languages.
• Drive the autonomous operations and management of distributed systems.
• Together we continuously improve the quality and resilience of our services.
• Run and Operate managed services for our customers.
• Lead and improve Monitoring and operations of our services.
• Contribute to the open source building blocks of our solution.

We Appreciate:

• You feel comfortable in the ecosystem of Kubernetes.
• You stay calm by troubleshooting in production environments.
• Constructive contributions to design and architecture discussions.
• Experience building Kubernetes CRDs and operators.
• Experience in deploying and managing apps on Kubernetes, including helm charts and ArgoCD.
• Good understanding of monitoring and service indicators.
• Experience in operating Cloud services.
