(Senior) Backend Developer Python/IoT/GIS/AWS (m/f/d)

We are looking for a Backend Python Developer, who will drive our IoT-Devices and AWS Cloud-Services with reliable, efficient, and maintainable code. These systems ensure that data collected by multiple IoT sensors all over the world end up on customers' phones in almost real-time, even under tough conditions like limited and unstable internet connectivity on the field.

Tasks

• Design, build and maintain backend systems, including services, data processing pipelines and API-interfaces
• Work on geo-spatial data processing
• Be part of the ideation and product development together with Product and Design
• Architect and optimize our AWS cloud infrastructure to make sure that customer requests are served reliably and in line with performance SLAs
• Define the technical roadmap together with the CTO and the VP of Software Engineering

Requirements

• Up To Code: You have more than two years of hands-on experience with writing code in multiple languages (e.g., Python) that not only works but is maintainable. You constantly strive to pick the appropriate tools and technologies for the given problem.

• A Problem Solver: The input to your work is not a highly detailed task list but a problem. Starting from there you work closely with the team to come up with a solution that you can iteratively validate.
