Tasks

Your area of responsibility:

• Further development of our gaming portal implement new and maintain existing features.
• Maintain and improve our battletested AWS infrastructure.
• Cooperatively work within a team: close teamwork with your peers our project managers graphic artists and other developers in order to develop mutual creative concepts so as to continually improve our product.
• Regularly pursuing technological developments and trends in the field of gaming development so as to implement innovative ideas.
• Continual error correction and optimizing the product: Identification and elimination of program errors as well as optimizing the gaming performance to ensure smooth gameplay and a high level of customer satisfaction.

Requirements

What you bring to the table:

• At least five years of professional experience as a backend developer.
• Proficiency in TypeScript (Node.js) and/or PHP with a strong understanding of asynchronous programming.
• Experience with MySQL (or another RDBMS) database design implementation and optimization.
• Experience in maintaining and developing scalable systems in AWS. Experience in using terraform is a plus.
• At least a basic understanding of Linux and shell scripting.
• Knowledge of RabbitMQ and NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB Redis) is a plus.
• Familiarity with frontend development technologies (e.g. HTML CSS Angular) is advantageous.
• A strong understanding for quality dependability and communicative capabilities development (e.g. Git Jira Confluence etc.).
• Capable of undertaking independent development and completing projects.
• Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
• A university degree in computer sciences or a similar academic course i.e. comparable education with occupational experience in the field of software development.
• You should live in the Hamburg area.
