Senior Java Spring Developer

What you will be doing

• Design and develop innovative software tools, applications, services, and platforms to enhance homify's systems and product portfolio.
• Interpreting briefs to create high-quality coding that functions according to specifications.
• Determining application functions and building objectives with the team.
• Ensuring that written code falls in line with the project objectives.
• Problem solving with other team members in the project.
• Identifying and resolving immediate and potential issues with applications.
• Share your knowledge by helping the team, mentoring junior engineers and evolving best practices.
• Meeting deadlines on fast-paced deliverables.

More about you

• Extensive (5+ years) professional programming experience in Java
• Familiarity with microservices-style architecture
• Familiar with common monitoring / alerting / logging tools such as Sentry
• Your database skills are good (e.g. modeling, SQL)
• You have deep knowledge of established frameworks and platforms (e.g. Spring/Boot)
• You enjoy software development and you are always interested in new technologies (e.g. Java, Web, Mobile & Open Source)
• Good communication skills, high proficiency in English, German skills are a benefit
• NICE TO HAVE
• At least Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or other related courses.
• Experience with UNIX/Linux, distributed systems, web-based systems, and open web standards
• Experience in Kubernetes and AWS is a plus
