Role : Solutions Director - Electronics

Required Skill Set: Technology Sales and Marketing of Solutions, Services (covering Software, Hardware, VLSI areas) for Telecom, Industrial, Consumer Electronics, Storage, Semiconductor, Medical Electronics, Retail, Media, Energy & Utilities Customers

Preferred Specializations or Prior Experience: Technology Marketing & Sales / Business Development covering Software, Hardware, VLSI areas

Brief about the Unit:

The Intelligent Products - Diversified Industries Unit is focused on helping customers transform their product lines to leverage effectively the ongoing digital revolution and continue to support their ongoing business.

While AI, Automation, Analytics are playing a major role in this evolution, customers continue to build electronics products that are central to the digital foundation. They continue to build platform based products that will facilitate quick turnaround in New Product Introduction, bring in the huge technology revolution in small form factor designs, wearables, sustainable products that leverage low power and compliant to the emerging trends in sustainability, next generation wireless connectivity, built-in AI capabilities, ability to seamlessly fit digital eco-systems, etc.

The business units focuses on a range of industries including Medical, Industrial Machinery and Controls, Telecom, Media, Hitech among others.

Responsibilities / Expected Deliverables from the Solution Director:

This is an exciting role in the IOT and Digital engineering. The proposed role leads the market engagement of the Intelligent Products Business Unit in the named assigned geography. The role reports into the Global Unit Head and locally to the country Business Development Head for IoT and DE. It is a role with high visibility and responsibility.

Following would be some of the key roles and responsibilities:

Lead the Business Development for Industries mentioned above.

Engage with the CXO leadership in key accounts to build long term relationships to sight opportunities ahead of their formal bidding, shape the opportunities

Analyze the customer requirement (Proactive pitch, RFI, RFP) to arrive at the best fit / innovative solution to meet customer needs

Provide oversight to large / strategic transformative engagements with our clients, participate in steering committees, address issues and challenges in delivery, execution, support

Engage with different sales and pre-sales teams of to architect and articulate comprehensive solutions for addressing the client needs

Co-ordinate with external partners (where necessary) to define product leverage for client needs / fit

Support development of sales & pre-sales pitch & value proposition and win high quality proposals with top notch brand messaging in Digital Product Engineering

Position the Unit and its Services in the Market in engagements with Analysts, Business Partners, Product Vendors, Events, Seminars etc.

Leverage connects in the industry for identifying other potential candidates for the Intelligent Products team for participating in client engagements, especially at program manager and consultant level

Connects with local boutique partners and firms for niche solutions

Put in place the delivery engagement for executing the client programs

Leverage on the existing Solutions, assets in the Intelligent Products Group to strengthen propositioning to customers and to engage newer customer business units

Participate in Forums, Technology Events related to the focus areas of Intelligent Products Group

Bring in market intelligence to the larger teams

Desired Competencies (Managerial/Behavioral Competency):

Must-Have**

Industry experience in Medical, Industrial Machinery and Controls, Telecom, Media, Hitech, Semiconductor

Worked across industries & partner products

Consultative sales experience with advisory services at CX level

Held sizable sales responsibilities with targets

Experience in leading large bids in sales / pre-sales responsibilities

Consultative sales approaches & skills for Point of View articulation for CX level

Consulting engagements experience including blue printing etc.

A good understanding of technology trends, market forces and industry imperatives, IOT, AI, etc

Should have knowledge of Embedded Product Development cycles including Hardware, Firmware, VLSI, Mechanical, Test & Validation, Certification, Manufacturing

Should have understanding of various Development & Testing Tools used in the above mentioned areas

Should have sound knowledge on Digital, Analog, RF and power electronics domains

Should have sound knowledge on Key Hardware Interfaces e.g. Ethernet, USB, CAN, HMDI, etc.

Should have sound understanding of Key Hardware Components e.g. Processors/controllers/DSPs, FPGA, CPLD, RF components (5G, LTE, WiFi-BT, GPS) ,Printed Circuit Board (PCB) etc.

Should have sound understanding of Regulatory Standards (IEC/EN, ISO, FCC, Safety etc.), Certification Agencies/Test Labs.

Should understand newer Technology areas like AI, ML, AR/VR

Ability to work with diverse global teams spread across different Geos/ time zones

Good-to-Have

Worked in large professional services firms

Result-focused and able to work under tight deadlines

Entrepreneurial and is comfortable working in a complex and fast-paced environment

Experience in working with distributed teams are highly desired.

Fluent in English and are a confident communicator
