Job Description
This is a remote position.
GovFirst is currently seeking a Sr. Full Stack Engineer to support our client directly in a Remote Setting. This position may turn into a Hybrid Role based in Washington D.C.
The Senior Full Stack Engineer is a technical role that is focused on influencing, designing, implementing and supporting production for an Enterprise Retrieval Information System. The candidate will be working with Subject Mater Experts and use the following state of art technologies; Java Microservices, SpringBoot, Spring Cloud, Solr, Lucene, Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, JavaScript, ReactJS, Node.js, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, Groovy, Python, Headless WCM, Drupal, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, DevSecOps, Jenkins, Maven, Gitlab, NPM, Webpack, Nexus, Ansible, TDD, BDD, JMeter, Selenium, Rapid 7 Scans, and other open source frameworks.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in designing and developing REST API using Spring Framework or JAX-RS (Jersey). SpringBoot experience in plus.
- Hands-on experience with Java and MVC framework such as Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Struts or Struts-2.
- Hands-on experience with JavaScript framework such as React, Angular or Backbone.
- Hands-on experience with of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX.
- Experience with XML parsing and XSLT transformation.
- Experience with application servers such as Tomcat, Jetty, WebLogic or JBoss/Wildfly.
- Development experience with continuous integration (CI/CD) and automation tools such as GIT/SVN, Maven, Jenkins, Nexus, Ansible or Terraform
- Demonstrated ability to efficiently troubleshoot multi-tiers distributed systems on Linux environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Linux Containers (Docker), Kubernetes, and deployment of containerized applications/Microservices architectures.
- Experience with AWS and/or other Azure cloud technologies
- Experience with Spring Cloud technologies such as API Gateway, Eureka Discovery Service, Ribbon Load Balancer, Spring Boot Actuator,
- Search Engine such as Solr/ Elastic Search and Lucene.
Education:A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and 7+ years of related experience.
Basic Qualifications: 10+ years of experience with integration engineering 3+ years of experience in at least 2 of the following tools: AppD, Dynatrace, Splunk ITSI, SolarWinds or ScienceLogic with installing agents, forwarders, APIs, performance monitoring tool alerts, dashboards, and data trend analysis in a monitoring tool 3+ years of experience with ServiceNow ITSM Experience with recommending baseline monitoring thresholds and performance monitoring KPIs and SLAs Experience with gathering and organizing large amounts of data to use for instrumentation into an Enterprise monitoring solution Experience with creating technical documentation. Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements Ability to provide monitoring tool infrastructure recommendations Additional Qualifications: Experience with the VA Experience with Splunk, SolarWinds or ScienceLogic a plus Experience with VA VistA Experience with the ServiceNow Visual Task Boards Experience in Agile and Scrum Ability to work with customers and manage schedules Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills Public Trust Clearance: Applicants selected may be subject to a government investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements of the U.S. government client.
