Job Description
EARON International, a leader in IT recruitment, is currently looking for a Cybersecurity Engineer Application Security & Access (m/f/x)for its client, a leader in leading-edge tools, technologies, software, and services for the global construction sector.
We are looking for a Cybersecurity Engineer responsible for securing application access for the clients employees and customers.
In this role, you will closely collaborate with cross-functional teams of IT Engineers, Product Owners, and governance teams to secure the clients applications and services in line with Zero Trust principles and other industry best practices.
You are responsible for engineering and operating various application security and access platforms according to industry standards and best practices.
Together with the client internal teams & vendors, you drive and implement service enhancements and manage security controls.
You provide technical leadership and direction to the application/system owners on securing access to their applications.
You monitor and respond to security threats and conduct regular security reviews with external experts where needed.
You actively participate in security projects and support also other security initiatives in Global IT (e.g., Cyber Defense, Network Security).
You follow up on incidents and implement lessons learned, identifying the root cause, and taking necessary actions to improve our processes.
Requirements
- Master s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline
Minimum 2 years of experience in Information Security or related field. Certifications such as CEH or CISSP are an added advantage - Experience in at least two of the following areas: Web Application Firewalls (WAF), API gateway security, Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB), Authentication & Authorization standards and protocols (e.g., SAML, OAuth, OpenID, Kerberos, mTLS)
- Experience in software engineering and scripting languages is an added advantage
- Structured with strong analytical skills and an affinity for platform and IT Security
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and team skills in an international environment
