Transportation Department Manager

Midwest multi-disciplined engineering firm is looking to add a Transportation Department Managerto their Madison, Wisconsin team!

Responsibilities:

• Manage local/Federal Aid projects (local agencies, WisDOT and counties)
  
• Lead a variety of projects (roadway, underground utility, drainage, traffic and infrastructure improvements)
  
• Build/maintain client relationships
  
• Assist with business development (proposal/contract preparation, coordinating teams, and project interviews)
  
• Develop standards to ensure quality designs
  
• Mentor/train junior staff
  
• Lead team development (assign staff, plan department tasks/workload/budget, and communicate with all levels of team)
  
• Assist with WisDOT Consultant Solicitation responses/team arrangements

Requirements:

• B.S. degree in Civil Engineering
  
• 10+ years of related experience
  
• 3+ years of project management experience
  
• PE License
  
• Roadway/infrastructure design experience using WisDOT design criteria
  
• Established network and WisDOT/County relationships
  
• AutoCAD/Civil and WisDOT work flow experience preferred
  
• Some travel required
