Job Title: Regulatory Compliance Analyst

Industry: FMCG

What will this role achieve?

This is a very exciting opportunity to support the Regulatory Affairs Lead to ensure the legal compliance of all products sold within the UK and Ireland.In a time-pressured environment and often tight timescales, your goal will be to provide sound regulatory information and advice to support product launches and re-designs in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring compliance with local regulations and policies.

What will be your key results?

  • Ensure regulatory compliance of brands by sales market, about product formulation, pack copy generation and artwork sign-off, in line with policies.
  • Working closely with R&D, converting recipe details into pack copy information to appropriate legal formats for the intended sale market, using an internal IT system.
  • Work closely with P2M and translation agencies to ensure the timely preparation of information across multiple markets.
  • Review and sign-off artwork designs against relevant pack copy for legal compliance for the market. Ensure multi-lingual labels are checked and approved by translation or food law agencies.
  • Understand allergen matrices and apply them accordingly to ensure packs are labelled with accurate allergen warnings.
  • Represent the Regulatory Affairs team where appropriate with project team meetings with a specific remit to advise on compliance implications.

What do you need for this role?

Crucial
  • Qualifications: Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or other food science-based degree.
  • A knowledge/understanding of EU Food Legislation, guidelines, and codes of practice.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Good communication and influencing skills.
  • Proven project management and implementation skills will be essential, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • High level of digital literacy & proficiency in using web-based specification systems.
  • Strong numeracy skills.
  • Proactive demeanour.
  • Works autonomously but is also a good teammate.

Preferred

  • Experience using SAP, Interspec and/or Hamilton Grant
