Director of Network and Technology Support Operations

The Staff Pad is looking for a Director of Network and Technology Operations in Houston, Texas. The Director of Network and Technology Operations will be responsible for the building and operating an organization which supports the technology products sold to customer base.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and develop teams of individual contributors and managers in roles resolving network related issues
  
• Engage and influence stakeholders, internal partners and peers associated with the Network Engineering function
  

• Identify, develop, and implement project plans for network technologies and systems
  

• Ensure networking team performs as a cohesive unit, maintaining the stability and performance of network for customers
  
• Continuously drive operational excellence through leveraging our IT Service Management function (Incident, Change, Problem, Service Configuration (CMDB), Service Level Management, etc.).
  
• Ensure the provision of comprehensive, integrated, reliable, high-quality services in areas such as backbone and local area networking, network facilities and infrastructure, Internet access, high-performance networking, and network security
  
• Provide leadership and guidance to direct reports by establishing work priorities and resource management as they perform their duties to achieve company initiatives along with accelerating their professional and technical development through coaching and training ensuring focus on achieving high customer satisfaction
  
• Partner with stakeholders to map the needs of the business (or business needs) identified by customers to detailed technical requirements for network infrastructure and services
  
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, documentation, technical KPIs and SLAs for network solutions portfolio
  
• Ensure network security and compliance (PCI, NIST, ISO, and others) are at the forefront of deployed solutions
  
• Knowledge of VLAN, VxLAN, device authentication strategies, and multicast network operations
  
• Knowledge of RF technologies like DOCSIS, G.hn, Coaxial and Fiber Optic delivered infrastructure, set top boxes and smart television platforms like android TV, LG WebOS, and Samsung Tizen
  
• Demonstrated experience working in a support organization with tight integration and dependency to an app development team
  
• Demonstrated Knowledge of lean management practices and ability to work in a cross functional environment
  
• Work with Service Center leaders to establish internal best practices
  

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Management Information Systems, or related field.
  
• Proper achievement of network certifications (CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent).
  

• Minimum 10+ years business IT experience.
  

• 8+ years of direct experience in leading Infrastructure Technical teams: Networks, Data Centers, Cloud, End User Compute preferred.
  

• 5 + years of experience leading people leaders preferred.
