The Electromechanical segment provides automation and precision motion control solutions, as well as electrical interconnects, specialty metals, and thermal management systems.

Job Description:

• Responsible for producing machined parts by operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine while maintaining quality and safety standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Proficient in machine operation

• Loads raw materials and unloads completed parts

• Required to operate multiple machines simultaneously

• Performs inspection of own parts and co-worker's work

• Follows instructions when selecting appropriate tooling and fixtures

• Uses measurement tools i.e. snap gage, digital calipers, micrometers, optical comparator and other measuring instruments

• Adjusts tooling & work offsets

• Minor editing of current program

• Able to run select machines in department

• Able to make adjustments to assure dimensions, tolerances and quality of parts

• Utilizes QMS, MAX & SPC data bases as needed

• Performs preventative maintenance on equipment including top-off lubricants

• Cleaning responsibilities including equipment, chip removal, and work area

• Follows established procedures as well as quality and safety standards

• Maintains safe work environment

• Works under supervision

• Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS

• Good working knowledge of trigonometry, geometry, basic math and measuring instruments

• Basic understanding of G&M programming codes

• Good understanding of machining practices

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong problem solving skills

• Motivated and shows willingness to learn

• Team player who works in cooperation with others

• Demonstrates a strong mechanical aptitude.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• HS Degree or GED

• 1+ years machining experience preferred or a recent certificate in precision machining or related field

• Experience operation Swiss/Citizen/Doosan CNC machines strongly preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Maximum lifting/carrying of 50 lbs

• Frequent (66% > 34%) lifting/carrying of 10 lbs

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Machine Shop environment which may require the use of industrial hearing protection and/or other personal protective equipment
