Description:

Position Title: Project Manager

Overview

  • At Engineering & Property Services (E&PS) we take care of all *** buildings around the world providing end to end services from Real Estate, Engineering & Strategic Project Delivery to Facilities Management.
  • We have a profound influence on the entire *** Enterprise, providing innovative workplaces where our employees can collaborate and grow, and delivering flexible site solutions which enable our business to best serve our important customers and patients.

  • The Project Manager is accountable for the delivery of a facilities/utilities/office capital projects and will be based in Cork, Ireland.
  • The role will encompass the Barnahely site and other Munster sites as directed by E&PS.
  • They will act as the single point of contact to all site business owners for site-based capital projects.
  • The focus of the project role will be supporting projects with an office, facilities and utilities focus.

  • They will develop and lead the project delivery organization in all aspects.
  • They are responsible for the full process from project preparation, submission for CAR approval, project execution and handover to the operational teams.
  • They will ensure that **** IDEA (Ideation- Definition-Execution-Assessment) project delivery process is consistently used.

  • They will also act as Project Manager and lead specific projects thru our standard Project management standards FPX and IDEA.
  • Responsibilities include: driving innovation to ensure safety in design and construction is achieved, translating the business needs of our internal clients in to a technical solution, applying learning tools, coordinating and aligning project teams, and ensuring that our project delivery standards are followed.
  • Key relationships include collaboration with E&PS functions (Real Estate and Facility Management and Service Partners) CCFS/Procurement, EH&S, ITS and affiliate Engineering Groups across other functional areas, establishing effective working relationships with partners.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management

Acts as Project Lead on Projects from concept to handover and business value realization stage in accordance with our IDEA process while collaborating across functional areas with business partners.
Establishes alignment with sponsor, agrees management of customers, and aligns Internal and external teams to deliver the Project Objectives
Communicates regularly with the Sponsor and aligns on communication to team members on all aspects of projects based on key performance indicators, maintains project communications, and prepares reports for E&PS and Business Leadership.
Understands the project intake process, solutioning and how projects should meet the business need, prepares for stage gates, and the development of the selected option for capital approval requests.
Identifies appropriate project delivery functions, resources, and strategies for the project via a Project Execution Plan.
Coordinates the design, execution and close out of all project related activities including leading internal resources and the procurement of third party contractors, suppliers and consultants and monitors the project to plan against final project objectives.
Controls risks, changes and requests for changes with Sponsor and team.
Handles Project Close Out activities including operational handover archiving, and financial project close and collation of benchmarking and lessons learned and provide feedback to ensure continuous improvement.


Requirements

Education & Experience

Education:
Bachelor Science Degree in Engineering required.
Project Management Professional (PMP), FPX or equivalent required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Microsoft Project and PowerPoint required.

Experience, Skills & Knowledge:

Required:
Minimum of 10 years of Project Engineering/Management experience.
Prior experience in portfolio management and leading small to medium capital projects in Supply Chain/manufacturing in a regulated environment, R&D, Distribution Centers or Offices.
Understands business needs and can translate these to engineering concepts.
Technically knowledgeable, can relate to and understand technology-based issues.
Ability to lead and motivate remote and virtual teams and partners.
Knowledgeable of process/pharmaceutical industries and technologies.
Good listening and problem-solving skills when handling project challenges.
Understanding technical/regulatory and quality issues impacting products.
Ability to develop and maintain collaborative partnerships at all levels within the organization, internally (Real Estate /FM) and with Business partners (CCFS/ Finance/ Engineering/ Operations).
Good knowledge of Project Controls in cost and schedule development, financial assessments and managing of budget and schedule.
Manufacturing experience in FDA or other regulated environments from design through startup.
Experience on contracting and negotiation.
Experienced in collaborating with Real Estate, Finance and Facilities Management.
