Senior Sourcing Engineer

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for working in a group environment in collaboration with purchasing and supply chain teams to support material localization and new suppliers seleclion , price negotiation

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

1. Responsible for annual cost reduction to meet goal

2. Responsible for new project sourcing including RFQ, supplier selection, trial build material preparation.

3. Lead localization into Batam supplier

4. Supplier overall management include material pull in and quality charge back

5. Suggest any cost saving opportunity and work with engineering closely to implement the saving projects.

Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :

Basic Requirement

1. Education: Bachelor s degree at minimum

2. Minimum 5 years sourcing experience in mechanical parts

3. Good English Communication Skill (Written & Oral)

4. Can work independently and self-management

Must Have Skills & Knowledge

1. Familiar with mechanical parts process including plastic and metal parts and related cost model

2. Familiar with Batam local supply base in mechanical parts

3. Has strong capability on localization

4. Has strong capability to work independently and take pressure.

5. Has strong capability on communication and negotiation

6. Has experience from quoting, sample qualification and MP price negotiation

7. Can work under cost reduction pressure and willing to accept challenges

8. Has good communication skill with other departments in cost reduction, VAVE, delivery, Etc

9. Willing to handle detailed task and focus on details

10. Good Teamwork

1. Has ownership spirit

2. Has strong mindset and rich experience in cost reduction, need develop every opportunity to do cost reduction

3. Familiar with QAD and components consignment is preferred
