Job Description
Serving the world and the local Metro Washington DC area community, Piedmont Global Language Solutions (PGLS) offers language services consisting ofinterpretation, translation, transcription, language instruction, cultural sensitivity training, and localization.Our network of language professionals provides expertise in more than 200 languages, including regional dialects.
PGLS is looking for freelance Translatorsto provide assistance in our clients translation program. This program allows departments to use an enterprise-wide translation platform for website translations. It will also include incorporating departments with new translation tools on websites.
We are in need of language translation services in the following languages:
- Somali
- Tongan
Although these 1099 contracts are REMOTE, we are looking for translators that are located primarily in Washington state. Translators that are located in Oregon, Idaho, British Columbia, Canada and northern California are strongly encouraged to apply.
Requirements
- MUST live in Washinton state or the Pacific Northwest area (Oregon, Idaho, British Columbia, Canada and northern California)
- Minimum of 2 years translation experience
- Translation certificate strongly desired
- Experience with website translation strongly desired
- Knowledge of CAT tools strongly desired
