Job Description
- Troubleshooting issues with transmissions using diagnostic equipment such as scan tools or torque converters in order to identify problems and determine solutions
- Reading technical manuals and instructions to determine the correct steps for performing repairs or diagnosing problems with vehicles
- Inspecting vehicle components such as clutches, brakes, and electrical components for signs of wear or damage
- Inspecting parts for defects and performing basic repairs such as changing the oil or replacing spark plugs
- Installing new transmission components such as fluid lines or filters in order to repair vehicles
- Installing new transmission components such as fluid lines or filters in order to repair vehicles
- Examining computer data in order to identify problems with transmission operation
- Performing maintenance on transmission components such as fluid lines or filters in order to repair vehicles
