Job Description
- Ensures adequate availability of adequate craftsmen, spare parts, materials, tools and equipment. Includes reviewing needs, ordering spares, preparing workshop orders, initiating purchase requests for supervisor’s approval.
- Participates in the diagnosis and repair of major faults and breakdowns..
- Provides information during the commissioning, preparation of planned maintenance programs and ensures proper implementation of relevant parts for the Section.
- Supervises the installation of new Plant and arranges for its commissioning.
- Coordinates and supervises maintenance of electrical equipment at Power Station within boundary limits assigned to him.
- Compiles and submits technical work and breakdown reports as and when required.
- Provides opportunities for training and development of employees under his direction (with emphasis on UAE Nationals) and assesses their progress, this includes on-the-job training, counseling and proper work delegation.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
