Responsibilities
We envisage success in this role to include;
- Maintaining communication with the client on all project related issues.
- Organizing and managing MEP staff on multipleworkflows simultaneously.
- Maintaining efficient liaison with local regulatory authorities.
- Ensuring project standards, safety management and quality control procedures are implemented and maintained for each of the technical areas required to complete the job.
- Providing guidance and training to MEP project staff.
- Identifying issues and risks that need to be brought to the attention of the Chief Construction Manager as necessary.
- Being the primary point of contact for Construction Managers, Residentengineersand senior site personnel on MEP related issues.
- Ensuring that project requirements are incorporated into the design,procurementand construction development processes.
- Assessing project programs, project plans, including staffing.
- Reviewing Contractor’s Monthly Project Progress Reports relating to MEP works % complete.
- Reviewing project team time sheets.
- Chairing MEP project meetings
- Researching,establishingand documenting the regulatory and code requirements related to the project.
- Managing the performance of the Core and site project MEP teams to achieve high standards of control and documentation.
- Ensuring that the project MEP correspondence, assessment of submittals and documentation iskept orderly and complete at all times.
- Completing Testing & Commissioning procedures as required for the project
- Being the point of reference for all fire life safety systems queries and tasks
