The Graphic Designer is responsible for creating visually compelling designs that align with the culinary academys strategic goals effectively communicating its mission and vision. This role involves producing highquality print and digital marketing materials maintaining brand consistency and collaborating with team members to enhance the academys visual identity and engagement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design Marketing Collateral: Develop visually engaging marketing materials including brochures flyers posters and banners to promote the academys programs and initiatives.
- Digital Media Design: Create captivating graphics for our website social media platforms email campaigns and online advertisements to attract and engage our target audience.
- Brand Management: Ensure consistent adherence to the academys brand guidelines across all design materials to maintain a professional and cohesive image.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Digital Marketing Specialist and other team members to synchronize visual content with marketing and communication strategies.
- Event Support: Design materials for culinary events workshops and other academyrelated activities to enhance the overall experience and promote our culinary education programs.
- Illustration and Photography: Produce original illustrations and edit photographs as required to enhance visual content.
- Storytelling through Design: Develop visuals that effectively convey the academys message vision and mission to resonate with the target audience.
- Feedback and Improvement: Actively seek feedback from team members and stakeholders to continually improve the quality of design work and its alignment with the academys goals
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors degree in Graphic Design Visual Communications or related field
- Demonstrated experience as a Graphic Designer preferably in the nonprofit or educational sector
- Passion in photography
- Proficiency in graphic design software particularly Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop Illustrator InDesign) Canva Visme etc.
- Strong creative and artistic abilities with a keen eye for detail in the field of culinary arts and cultural heritage
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to effectively work within a diverse team
- Capacity to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment
- A comprehensive portfolio showcasing previous design work and alignment with the academys mission
- A genuine appreciation for culinary arts and an understanding of the food industry are preferred
