- Technically extensively trained and formally qualified with broad experience in corrosion management with significant relevant experience in international oil companies and plant operations
- Develop corrosion control documents for plant equipment and piping according to the nature of corrosion and damage mechanisms associated with the plant facilities.
- Develop corrosion circuits for plant equipment and piping according to the nature of corrosion and damage mechanisms in support of RBI Strategies
- Highly experienced in cathodic protection and online corrosion monitoring operation and analysis
- Monitoring performance of corrosion inhibitor injection systems and monitoring corrosion control parameters
- KPI monitoring and performance metric development of corrosion management.
- Focal point for failure investigation of equipment failures / abnormal corrosion / trends / root cause analysis site based troubleshooting and able to advise required repairs and quality control tests to restore equipment integrity
- Analyze and evaluate inspection findings initiate appropriate action plans to limit mitigate corrosion trends within acceptable limits and implement appropriate monitoring schemes to ensure the same.
- Prepare and implement effective preservation of equipment and piping for short and longterm idling of facilities.
- Prepare and implement chemical cleaning procedures as per the best industry standards and practices.
- Develop strategies for corrosion mitigation by coating cathodic protection use of corrosion inhibitor appropriate material selection and control through process parameters.
- Hands on experience of inspection and analysis methods of corrosion control and monitoring techniques used in oil & gas facilities.
- In depth knowledge of materials and materials selection specifically related to the oil & gas industry for static plant equipment in offshore and onshore facilities.
- In depth knowledge of coating / lining systems specification application inspection testing and repair including both organic and inorganic thermal spray systems.
- Indepth knowledge of applicable codes and standards (API ASTMISO NACE etc. ) related to corrosion control and monitoring
Qualifications :
Bachelors of Chemical Engineering or Metallurgy
Candidates must be skilled in use of CIMS RBI and MS office software packages
Additional Information :
Minimum 10 years of experience in new and ageing assets subject to sour service conditions in the energy sector for both onshore and offshore project facilities inspection corrosion control failure analysis and material selection in gas processing plants oil and gas industry
