Job Summary
The Director of Business Development Food & Beverage Catering is responsible for driving the growth and profitability of the resorts catering and events business. This role focuses on developing strategic partnerships expanding client relationships and creating innovative catering offerings tailored to the luxury market. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations within the food and beverage industry and an understanding of the luxury hospitality market.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Business Development
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to expand the resorts catering and events portfolio.
- Identify and pursue new market opportunities partnerships and revenue streams that are in accordance with the resorts luxury standards.
- Conduct market research to stay ahead of industry trends competitor activities and guest preferences.
Sales and Client Relationship Management
- Build and nurture longterm relationships with corporate clients wedding planners event organizers and highnetworth individuals.
- Lead the sales team to achieve or exceed revenue targets through proactive outreach networking and creative selling techniques.
- Oversee the negotiation and closing of highvalue catering and event contracts ensuring profitability and client satisfaction.
Product and Service Innovation
- Collaborate with the culinary and events teams to create bespoke catering menus and experiences that align with the resorts brand and guest expectations.
- Continuously improve the guest experience by integrating feedback and introducing innovative service concepts.
- Partner with marketing to design promotional campaigns targeting the luxury market segment.
Team Leadership and Development
- Lead motivate and mentor a team of sales and event professionals to deliver exceptional results.
- Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to ensure the team excels in a competitive market.
- Foster a culture of excellence collaboration and attention to detail.
Financial and Operational Oversight
- Monitor and analyze financial performance metrics including revenue profit margins and cost controls.
- Develop and manage budgets for the catering and events department ensuring alignment with overall resort goals.
- Work closely with operations to ensure seamless execution of catering events from planning to delivery.
Qualifications :
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management Business Administration Marketing or a related field. A Masters degree is a plus.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 810 years of progressive experience in food and beverage catering sales or business development within luxury hospitality.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth in a competitive market.
- Skills:
- Strong negotiation networking and relationshipbuilding abilities.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
