Position Summary:
The Director of Business Development will lead the strategic growth initiatives for the luxury resort ensuring revenue optimization market expansion and the establishment of key partnerships. This role requires a visionary leader with a deep understanding of the luxury hospitality market strong networking capabilities and the ability to identify and act on emerging opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with the resorts vision and objectives.
- Analyze market trends competitor performance and customer preferences to identify growth opportunities.
Revenue Growth:
- Drive initiatives to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
- Collaborate with sales marketing and operations teams to optimize room bookings events and other revenue streams.
Partnership Development:
- Identify negotiate and secure strategic partnerships with luxury brands travel agencies corporate clients and influencers.
- Build strong relationships with regional and international stakeholders to promote the resort as a premier luxury destination.
Market Expansion:
- Expand the resorts presence in existing and new markets targeting highnetworth individuals (HNWIs) VIP guests and exclusive clientele.
- Represent the resort at industry events trade shows and global luxury travel forums.
Team Leadership:
- Lead mentor and develop a highperforming business development team.
- Foster a culture of innovation collaboration and excellence.
Brand Positioning:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure consistent branding and messaging across all channels.
- Enhance the resorts reputation as a toptier luxury destination.
Performance Metrics:
- Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) related to business development.
- Provide regular reports and insights to senior management on progress and opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Hospitality Management Marketing or a related field; an MBA is preferred.
- Minimum of 810 years of experience in business development preferably in luxury hospitality or related industries.
- Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and securing highvalue partnerships.
- Strong understanding of the luxury market and cultural nuances particularly in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East.
- Exceptional communication negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a significant advantage.
- Willingness to travel as required.
