Job Title: AV Technician
Location: Oman
Employment Type: FullTime
Job Overview:
We are urgently seeking a skilled and experienced AV Technician to join our clients team in Oman. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing operating maintaining and troubleshooting audiovisual systems for events meetings and corporate installations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setup and Installation:
- Install and configure audiovisual equipment including projectors sound systems microphones video conferencing systems and LED displays.
- Set up equipment for live events conferences and meetings.
- Operation and Support:
- Operate AV equipment during events to ensure seamless execution.
- Provide technical support to users during meetings or events.
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of AV systems to ensure they are in working order.
- Diagnose and repair technical issues with AV equipment.
- System Integration:
- Assist with integrating AV systems with existing IT infrastructure.
- Ensure compatibility of systems and perform upgrades as needed.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of installations repairs and system configurations.
- Prepare incident reports for major technical issues.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Education: Diploma or certification in Electronics Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 35 years of experience as an AV Technician preferably in a corporate or event setting.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in operating AV systems including mixers amplifiers and video conferencing tools (e.g. Zoom MS Teams Cisco WebEx).
- Strong understanding of signal flow cabling and wiring.
- Knowledge of audio calibration video resolution and troubleshooting techniques.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong problemsolving and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fastpaced environment.
Additional Requirements:
- Language: Proficiency in English is mandatory; Arabic is a plus.
- Physical Ability: Must be capable of lifting heavy equipment and working at heights when required.
- Availability: Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
