- Experience and knowledge of XRF testing Leco CS testing Wet Chemical testing Physical testing Metallurgical testing Method Developments Calibrations Drift corrections Trouble shooting QA/QC of the tests Working knowledge of ISO 9001 ISO 17025 Lab documentations Familiar with LIMS Proficiency Testing Accuracy calculations.
- Knowledge in all the aspects of the Chemical Physical and Metallurgical tests of Iron ore/Pellet as per ISO test methods.
- Handle samples including collecting samples from clients preparing samples for testing and analysis and sample safe keeping recording monitoring and disposal.
- Conduct physical preparation like cutting breaking homogenizing crushing grinding and pulverizing; chemical preparation (organic extraction and digestion) sample testing: wet analysis (gravimetric titration distillation) and other tests
- Ensure that work performed is in accordance with the QMS and Safety Policies defined in the Safety Manual.
- Wash sensitive glass wares for analyses.
- Operate and maintain equipment used in preparing samples.
- Maintain records on equipment used in preparing samples and keep uptodate records pertaining to sample storage and disposal.
- Assist laboratory analysts on internal preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment when needed.
- Sign worksheets job instructions and other routine records related to the handled tests and as a requirement of the specific section.
- Ensure compliance to the Group and national policies including but not limited to the maintenance of the Quality Management System
- Act appropriately and immediately to emergency situations and assist other staff members in maintaining readiness to respond to emergencies within the workplace
- Dispose or direct the disposal of waste generated as a part of daily work performed in a safe manner and in compliance with the disposal regulations and requirements and in accordance with SGS Environmental Management System requirements
Qualifications :
- Bachelors Degree in Chemistry
- Chemical Technician or any related course with PRC license as Chemical Technician
- 23 Years of experience (Preferably from Iron ore/ Mining processing plant)
Additional Information :
The Lab role requires to work in Shift duties for 12 hours shift duties in Day and/ or Night shifts
